Who We Are
Perfect Blinds was founded in 1958 by Bernard and Serena Weinstein as a small, local window furnishing and blinds shop in Melbourne’s inner-city suburb of Balaclava. Through their blinds shop, the couple initially manufactured 50mm aluminium Venetian blinds, which were highly fashionable at the time, and supplied them to the local Melbourne community.
The business was established on values for which Bernard and Serena quickly became well known: honesty, reliability, quality and service. One of Bernard’s favourite sayings was, “if you look after your customers, your customers will look after you”. Consequently, Bernard and Serena quickly became locally renowned for the quality of their products and their service. Today, the couple are regarded as true pioneers in the Melbourne window-furnishing scene.

As their reputation became increasingly more prominent and business boomed, the couple eventually outgrew their small Balaclava shopfront. To meet the demands of their rapidly growing customer base, Bernard and Serena relocated the Perfect Blinds business to a small factory in Gardenvale. Here, they began manufacturing Holland blinds, which had become a trendy choice of window furnishing.
Over the years, Perfect Blinds has continued to diversify and add new products to the range. We are now proud to offer over 15 different window furnishing styles and products to our valued customers. This is to ensure that all our customers are given the opportunity to find the right style of window shades and blinds that they are after.
